The Magic Has Already Begun

Well, it's official! The countdown has hit double digits!! It has been a little over a month since I have been accepted to the the Disney College Program starting this August. Since I have been accepted, I have met some of the most amazing people, including apartment mates and my roommate. They are already some of the most special people and I just know that these are going to be friends for life. For some, the program has already started and they are at Disney World now; it feels like August is forever away!!

Tomorrow is my last final (Biology-- YUCK!), and my possibly my last day at Moorpark College ever. I have mixed emotions about it, I am excited for this amazing opportunity, but it also means I will be leaving home for the first time. There are no words for how much I am going to miss my family. Between camp, and a trip to New York, I have about 40 days left in Moorpark.. That's a little over a month! I never thought I would be leaving little Moorpark, CA to go to Disney World; as my inspiration, the Walt Disney himself says, "We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things, because we're curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths". I am moving forward, opening new doors and experiencing new things and I cannot express how grateful I am for this opportunity. Thank you to everyone who has taken a part in helping me get to where I am today.

Taking on the Magic Kingdom

Well, it's official... I have accepted my offer to the Disney College Program(DCP) as a cast member working in merchendise and check in to the Magic Kingdom on August 24. (That's 141 days away, but who's counting) This will be my first time at Disney World and there are a few things I definitely want to do. So I am going to share my bucket list for my time in the DCP and I'll do my best to keep you all updated on my journey.

  • Visit all of the parks in one day
  • Take a picture in front of the castle when the park is closed
  • attend every stage show
  • Eat at the "Be Our Guest" Restaurant
  • Try the Grey stuff ( I hear it's delicious)
  • Ride every ride that is not at Disneyland
  • Visit Gaston's Tavern
  • Visit "Walt Disney: One Man's Dream"
  • The Magic of Disney Animation
  • (Non-Disney) Wizarding World of Harry Potter
  • Have the most magical experience ever
I'm sure I will find things to add to my list, but I am very excited to check the boxes!
